Atos KPMG Consulting and Microsoft solutions specialist, Business Connexion, have entered into an alliance which will see the companies jointly offer Microsoft solutions to the market in a value-adding framework aimed at maximising organisational information assets.
The partnership, the first of its kind in this country, will effectively provide customers with a full turnkey solution offering in the Microsoft space.
"Atos KPMG Consulting and Business Connexion have developed a joint vision that will enable customers to derive better value from their Microsoft investment," says Benjamin Mophatlane, Business Connexion CEO. "Business Connexion is the largest Microsoft licence reseller in sub-Saharan Africa, and Atos KPMG Consulting is a highly respected Big Four consulting company.
"The synergy between our organisations means that customers stand to benefit enormously from our joint go-to-market strategy. What we are offering is business optimisation through technology enablement backed by our technical expertise and KPMG`s strong business consulting methodologies."
Atos KPMG Consulting has extensive industry knowledge and business experience, as well as proven solution offerings based on Microsoft`s .Net platform. Its .Net practice includes a complete suite of .Net enabled solutions and services.
Both Atos KPMG Consulting and Business Connexion have strategic alliances with Microsoft and have developed comprehensive skill sets in the design and deployment of Microsoft-based solutions.
Mark Brouwer, Atos KPMG Consulting director, says the partnership with Business Connexion will provide clients with solutions required to unlock the full potential of their organisations throughout their business lifecycles.
"Atos KPMG Consulting will provide change management, project management and quality assurance expertise to back up the technology enablement provided by Business Connexion."
Brouwer says organisations today are placing more emphasis on business process improvement. "Our tried and tested methodologies, together with our skilled consultants, means that we are well positioned to offer the most value at the lowest risk when it comes to developing and deploying a Microsoft solution."
Mophatlane adds that information optimisation has moved beyond the realm of simple IT management, with IT now playing a strategic role in business processes and decision-making.
"Atos KPMG Consulting has the methodologies and know-how to put technology in place that supports business processes," he adds. "The biggest benefit to our customers will be the access to the intellectual capital of both organisations, enabling them to maximise the value of their software."
The second King report has rendered directors responsible for good governance, and Mophatlane notes that bottom-line risks, including those in IT, are the responsibility of the board. "Lack of process control, inability to access critical business information and manual integration between disparate systems are just some examples of issues that can place businesses at risk. Our alliance will allow us to minimise client risk as well as provide a platform from which to engage in continuous business improvement initiatives. All too often, IT providers are called into an organisation where they analyse problems, define solutions, but are then not held accountable for successful implementation."
Brouwer and Mophatlane agree that bringing quality assurance into the process will ensure that solutions are rolled out according to recommendations made.
"Our philosophy is that IT must be treated as an investment and not an expense," notes Mophatlane. "Together we can demonstrate to customers the value that IT can bring to a business, and the ROI that can be expected."
