Attachmate Corporation today announced its next-generation terminal emulation software, Reflection 2011, will soon be available for native deployment within Microsoft's application virtualisation (App-V) environment.
Additionally, Attachmate has joined Microsoft's System Centre Alliance Programme. Attachmate is the first software vendor to offer native support for Microsoft App-V, enabling IT administrators to quickly and easily leverage Reflection 2011 in application deployments through App-V, eliminating compatibility issues for enterprises at the user desktop.
While the current economic climate continues to challenge organisations to do more with less and leverage existing IT resources, companies are facing increased demand for remote access to mission-critical enterprise applications. Reflection 2011 enables enterprises to meet these demands by offering advanced terminal emulation technology, which can be deployed across a variety of virtualised environments. Based on the customer demand for App-V support, Attachmate is making Reflection 2011 available in the App-V format to its customers without repackaging.
Northern Trust, a leading investment management company based in Chicago, has recently been testing Reflection 2008 in an App-V environment to address application incompatibility issues.
