Attachmate has announced its support for BEA WebLogic Server 8.1, the foundation for BEA Systems` unified application infrastructure platform.

Attachmate`s myEXTRA! host integration and Web services solutions have been designed to complement the award-winning BEA WebLogic Server for a unified, simplified and extensible application infrastructure that can allow customers to boost return on their IT investments.

Together, Attachmate and BEA can provide an integrated development environment for building enterprise-class applications that leverage legacy assets, such as those housed in mainframes.

Attachmate myEXTRA! Smart Connectors support BEA WebLogic Server through Java standards and Web services.
