Attachmate South Africa has announced the local availability of myEXTRA! Presentation Services v.7.1, an all-in-one host access, data integration, and presentation solution.
myEXTRA! Presentation Services provides organisations with traditional desktop emulation, browser-based emulation, customised emulation, and centralised management and control in a single solution. The product allows organisations to meet their current host access needs with full-featured desktop and browser-based legacy access, as well as achieve long-term user presentation objectives, data integration and Web service development.

As a Microsoft certified .Net Connected solution, myEXTRA! Enterprise also goes beyond traditional host access and extends the reach of enterprise desktops to consume host-based tasks such as XML, JavaBeans and Web services.
* Central management of enterprise emulation: myEXTRA! Management and Control Services (MCS) allows organisations centrally to store, configure, and deploy enterprise emulation clients and software updates, and enables administrators to manage desktop clients and other myEXTRA! components from a single, Web-based console. The ability to manage desktop, browser-based, and custom host access clients from a central location reduces total cost of ownership.
* Browser-based emulation: myEXTRA! Terminal Viewers provide secure, browser-based access to a variety of enterprise host systems, and are available as either Java or ActiveX client applets. To simplify administrative tasks, client applets can be installed directly at the desktop, or can be centrally configured and downloaded from myEXTRA! MCS.
