Audiovisual dominates ISE trade show
Channel Web says.
Audiovisual technologies might remain obscure to many IT channel players, but there is increasing crossover and convergence with IT reselling, distribution and integration.
Eleven halls at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition Centre were devoted to ISE this year, attracting integrators and audiovisual specialists from across Europe.
Euro News states that a Norwegian company, Setred, presented a new display using a unique technology of 3D visualisation of medical images without the need to wear glasses.
Using pictures from a variety of sources, such as scanners, magnetic resonance and ultrasound imagers, it builds realistic 3D pictures, giving surgeons extra information during an operation, allowing them to continue or modify the procedure.
ISE 2012 is one of the professional audiovisual trade shows in Europe; it attracted more than 750 exhibitors, but also distributors and technology managers worldwide.
