AV museum honours freedom fighters
Many aspects of India's freedom movement and lesser-known freedom fighters will soon find their place of pride in a new audio-visual museum to be set up at the Jamia Milia Islamia in New Delhi, says Thaindian News.
The museum, to be called The Independence Experience, will be constructed over an area of five acres at an investment of Rs600 million.
"There are many freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the country but are yet to get their due recognition in the public sphere and books. We shall try to portray their contribution audio-visually through this endeavour," said Mushirul Hasan, vice-chancellor of Jamia and noted historian.
AV service helps patients
An audio-visual service for patients accessing out-of-hours GP consultations in Perthshire, in Scotland, has now been extended to Crieff, also in Scotland, states The Press and Journal.
The new video link builds on the GP telemedicine network being piloted between Blairgowrie Cottage Hospital and the Wallacetown Out-of-Hours Hub in Dundee.
The out-of-hours service at Crieff is nurse-led and the video link will allow patients to seek a specialist medical opinion from a GP if required, with patient and doctor viewing each other on screens.
