Leading components vendor, Asus, has appointed Axiz as a distributor for its component range. The appointment sees Axiz add another blue chip brand to its stable, enabling the local distributor to provide a mid and high range offering of motherboards and a complementary brand of opticals.
"The move was part of our focus on improving our customer segmentation, bringing more focus to each segment and as a result, more options," comments Joy Roode, business unit manager, Axiz. "Although Axiz has grown from being a focussed component distributor to an infrastructure distributor, our strength in the components arena remains an important element of the business."
Axiz will not only provide a mid to high-end motherboard offering but will also offer a complementary optical brand. "We have been looking for an alternative optical brand for some time now and believe that the Asus range provides us with the diversity needed to offer our customers more than one solution." concludes Roode.
The agreement, effective from 1st April 2004, further entrenches Axiz` position as a leading IT infrastructure distributor in Southern Africa
