This latest offering from LG boasts a 16X super-multi external DVD writer with a buffer size of 2MB and access time from 125ms to 165ms dependent on CD-ROM and DVD-RAM.
"The LG GSA-5163D 16 speed DVD writer makes use of dual layer compatibility, super link buffer under run prevention technology and is the only DVD-Writer compatible with all DVD formats, ensuring the most up-to-date and unique technology available," comments Philip Henning, LG product manager, Axiz.
The LG GSA-5163D DVD writer features record breaking writing speeds of 16X DVD+R/-R, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW, 5x DVD-RAM, 4x DVD+R DL, firewire and hi-speed USB 2.0 connectivity, storage of up to 4.7GB on a single DVD-R/RW/RAM disc and up to 8.5GB on double layer DVD media.

With a weight of 3.5kg, measurements of 163.2 x 244.7 x 54mm and a suggested retail price of R1 199, the LG GSA-5163D DVD writer is small yet strong enough to handle any workload.
