Axiz distributes best gaming choice today

Johannesburg, 07 Apr 2008

Cutting-edge, quiet, efficient and stable are just some of the features associated with the new ASUS ROG Rampage Formula motherboard, just launched by local IT infrastructure distributor, Axiz. Catering to astute users who require the best performance for their games and overclocking alike, the Rampage Formula, which supports the Intel Next Generation 45nm Multicore CPU and uses an Intel X48/ICH9R chipset, comes with an innovative Pin-Fin Thermal Module.

Providing quiet, efficient cooling, the motherboard allows users to enjoy a more stable environment for overclocking.

Axiz Product Manager for Motherboards and Chassis, Glenn Ferreira, explains that the Pin-Fin thermal design breaks the "boundary layer" phenomenon for effective airflows and results in better overall thermal performance when compared with traditional stacked-fin heat pipe solutions.

"It also features an enlarged 'heat exchange' surface area, allowing the most efficient heat dissipation to occur to achieve the best thermal cooling. What's more, this new thermal design is able to lower system temperatures at a lower fan speed for reduced noise, providing a quieter environment for operations," says Ferreira.

Additionally, with the innovative overclocking technology CPU Level Up, which has been listed in the Ten Best Technologies and Trends of 2007 at the reviewing site Extremetech, users obtain flexible overclocking easily, even without prior overclocking knowledge. Simply choose the processor you need, and the motherboard will do the rest!

ROG gamers can expect an excellent high definition audio experience with the SupremeFX ll, which features unique audio innovations to spot enemies in 3D, and emphasises human voices in games, making dialogues more audible.

Says Ferreira, the Rampage Formula motherboard is the best gaming choice today and will be a massive hit in the high-end gaming and graphic rendering market. "The previous version, Maximus Formula, has done very well with gamers and enthusiasts and we expect a high demand for the new model."

The ROG Rampage Formula motherboard retails at R3 500. For more information, contact Axiz on 011 237 7425.
