Leading IT infrastructure distributor, Axiz, announced the immediate availability of the ASUS EN8600GTS/HTDP/256M, a high-end graphics card based on the Nvidia GeForce 8600 GTS GPU.
Designed for gamers, the EN8600GTS is equipped with 256MB of DDR3 memory and is able to support NVIDIA's SLI technology.
The EN8600GTS utilises Nvidia unified architecture with GigaThread technology, and offers support for SLI multi-GPU technology, Microsoft DirectX 10, and Shader Model 4.0. Also featured is true 128-bit floating point high dynamic-range (HDR) lighting and Nvidia Quantum Effects technology, allowing users to bring out the best parts of the gritty and atmospheric portions of any game.
"A key feature of the ASUS EN8600GTS is its full high-bandwidth digital-content protection (HDCP) compliancy. It enables a user to playback HD-DVD, Blu-Ray Discs and other protected content at full high definition resolutions," says Nicole Dix, Asus product manager at Axiz.
Additionally, Dix says the ASUS EN8600GTS comes with a host of input and output solutions to fit any situation. Utilising the PCI-Express slot, this graphics card has TV-Out, HDTV-Out, Dual DVI-I (supports two 3840 x 2400 at 30Hz resolution displays) and VGA outputs.
One of the most useful applications bundled together with the ASUS EN8600GTS is the ASUS Gamer OSD. This feature is able to deliver over-clocking and chat options during game-play, enabling real-time performance upgrades when required.
With ASUS Splendid, watching movies on the PC rivals top-of-the-line televisions in terms of clarity and sharpness. ASUS's exclusive Video Security Online also allows users to keep an eye on their homes at all times, no matter where they are.
There are two package offerings available: currently for purchase is the standard ASUS EN8600GTS/HTDP/256M, but from May 2007, the ASUS EN8600GTS/HTDP/256M will come packaged exclusively with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
