Until recently photo printing has been an analogue process fostered in a mature, closed industry. According to leading IT infrastructure distributor, Axiz, the introduction of digital photography and digital printing has changed the rules.
Users no longer need to take their photos to a photo lab to have them printed; instead they can develop them in the comfort of their own home at a reasonable cost. Redefining the ease-of-use and affordability of home printing, Axiz has announced the immediate availability of Lexmark`s most cost effective digital printer, the Lexmark P4350.
"Both experienced and inexperienced photographers now have an abundance of printing choices for their photo printing such as at home, kiosks, minilabs or even online," says Adele Oosthuizen, Lexmark product manager, Axiz.
"The Lexmark P4350 was primarily designed for home users and has a consumer appliance look and feel," says Oosthuizen.
The Lexmark P4350 is suitable for scanning, copying and printing true to life photos with an outstanding print quality of up to 4 800dpi. Users can preview and print photos, without the use of a PC, from its colour LCD screen via a PictBridge interface or memory card. Evercolour ink technology ensures photos do not fade while Lexmark P4350`s imaging studio enables users to edit pictures with its remove red-eye, colour enhance as well as reduce and enlarge image feature options.
With an input/output tray of up to 100/25 sheets, the Lexmark P4350 requires a USB 2.0 interface, is compatible with various memory cards and requires Windows 98/ME/2000/XP as well as Mac OS X operating systems. The Lexmark P4350 has a scan resolution of 1 200 x 2 400dpi, comes with a removable cover and can print up to 99 copies at one time.
The Lexmark P4350 is an addition to the already available Lexmark P315, P915 and P6250 digital photo printers. The Lexmark P315 is a portable printer with easy-to-use enhancement features, the Lexmark P915`s trademark lies in its fast print speed rates while the Lexmark P6250 utilises the latest in imagery technology for photo printing.
