Axiz pushes speed with Kingston's SSDNowV+ solid state drive

Johannesburg, 12 Apr 2010

Leading ICT distributor Axiz has announced the latest innovation from memory leader Kingston Technology - its second-generation SSDNowV+ solid state drive (SSD).

The SSDNowV+ series SSD offers better speeds than its predecessor and is targeted at high-level users and corporate environments. The SSDNowV+ also supports Windows 7 TRIM support, and is available up to 128GB.

Kingston Technology says its SSDNowV+ solid-state drive will help consumers and organisations of all sizes enhance the performance and life cycle of computers that have a Serial ATA (SATA) interface.

SSDNowV+ drives increase the performance of computers with their impressive input and output operations per second (IOPS), says Ephraim Dube, Kingston product manager at Axiz.

“With higher IOPS than a standard mechanical hard disk drive (HDD), the SSDNowV+ allows for faster boot times and faster application loads than HDDs, ultimately making any user more productive,” he explains.

The SSDNowV+ is the ideal solid-state drive for power users, system builders, system integrators, and in corporate environments where efficiency and performance are important as more system resources are in use, adds Dube. “It consumes less power and generates less heat than a traditional HDD, at a fraction of the cost of a new system.”

With no moving parts, it can handle demanding conditions, and is thus perfect for road warriors and those who push the limits of their notebooks.

Available in capacities of up to 128GB, the SSDNowV+ is backed by a three-year warranty, 24/7 technical support and legendary Kingston Technology reliability.
