Leading IT infrastructure distributor, Axiz, has announced that it will be distributing the Sony memory stick range with immediate effect.
Caroline Macharia, product manager, Kingston and Axiz flash memory, is delighted to include Sony within her stable and says it enables Axiz to offer a broader range of products to a more diverse target audience. The company will stock the Sony Memory Stick Standard and Pro, as well as the Sony Memory Stick Duo and Pro Duo.
The Sony Memory Stick Standard and Pro range allows for maximum storage capacity and faster file transfer speeds with sizes ranging from 256MB up to 2GB. "Of significance," says Macharia, "is the Memory Stick PRO." She says the combination of the media of this format and compatible devices brings a new level of high-quality digital playback and capture, enabling users to view, listen to and enjoy incredibly rich entertainment.
The Memory Stick Pro incorporates various capabilities and expandability, such as high capacity, high-speed technology and data protection technology.
"All the advanced technologies, working in concert with optimised Memory Stick PRO format-compatible devices, enable various applications including real-time recording and playback of high-resolution moving images," comments Macharia.
The Memory Stick Duo is a small-form-factor version of the memory stick, including the Pro Duo, and is ideal for pocket-sized digital cameras and cellphones, as well as Sony`s PSP handheld game console. The Memory Stick Duos are available in all the same variants as their larger counterparts. There`s also a simple adapter, which allows a Duo to be used in any device that can accept the larger memory stick versions.
