Axiz unveils LG 12x multi-format DVD/CD writer

Local IT infrastructure distributor, Axiz, has announced the immediate availability of the latest from LG`s pioneering super-multi line of drives, the new 12x GSA-4120B DVD-Writer.

From the makers of the very first multi-format reader/writer comes a new drive that empowers users with the ability to read and write in all three DVD formats, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW and the rare DVD-RAM, at speeds 50% faster than before. Equipped with the latest double layer writing technology, the GSA-4120B pushes the limits of data storage offering users an impressive 8.5GB capacity.

"LG shook up the marketplace when they introduced the first optical storage drive that could both read and write in every DVD format, and are continuing to push the technological limits of optical storage," said Philip Henning, LG product manager, Axiz. "The new super-multi 12x drive eliminates consumers` concerns when dealing with DVD media - whatever media they choose will work with the LG drive."

With LG`s third offering from the super-multi family, the GSA-4120B ensures that all consumer data storage needs are met. The new 12x super-multi is perfect for anyone with advanced storage needs; whether to backup MP3s, videos, digital pictures or any large files. Without the limitations of offering only one or two of the three available DVD formats, the super-multi removes any worry that consumers will select a media that will make their data obsolete over time, while eliminating the hassle often found in having to select the proper DVD media for a less versatile drive.

With a suggested retail price of R1 239 including VAT, the 12x GSA-4120B comes with a one-year warranty. LG drives are consistently recognised for their superior performance and value, and exceed all ISO 9000 standards.
