AXS-One implementation wins AIIM`s best practice award

Johannesburg, 18 Mar 2002

AXS-One Inc, a leading provider of e-business solutions, today announced that it has received AIIM`s Enterprise Content Management Best Practice Award for its implementation at Brittany Ferries, a major European passenger and freight carrier.

The award was presented today at the AIIM 2002 Conference and Exposition in San Francisco.

Brittany Ferries deployed AXS-One`s AXSPoint solution to deliver Web-based self-service capabilities to more than 3 500 agents, and automate the process of delivering monthly statements, resolving statement queries and finalising payment. In only three months, Brittany Ferries replaced its manual, paper-based system with the AXSPoint solution, leveraging the Internet to improve cash flow management, reduce postage and packing costs and speed processing times.

The AXSPoint solution offers a fast, easy way for organisations to centralise critical information and content from multiple sources, and enable fast, seamless collaboration with customers, partners and suppliers via the Internet. The AXSPoint solution leverages legacy systems and existing IT resources, so organisations can quickly implement an integrated solution that keeps costs low, and delivers results.

"The Brittany Ferries implementation is an example of how AXS-One helps organisations deploy award-winning solutions to better manage information across the enterprise, transact with business partners and streamline key business processes," explained John Rade, president and CEO of AXS-One. "We are honoured to be recognised by AIIM as a leader in delivering innovative technology to help global customers apply leading-edge technology effectively and economically to satisfy the competitive need for electronic self-service."
