Printacom has appointed Libby Ballardin as specialised printing product division manager, effective 1 March 2009.
Ballardin is a 16-year veteran of the printer industry, and joins Printacom from TallyGenicom SA, where he was businesses development manager responsible for the TallyGenicom range of line printers for the past six years.
His appointment coincides with Printacom establishing a division dedicated to marketing OKI line printers and Printronix RFID (radio frequency identification) bar code and label printers.
Printacom has recently acquired the Printronix agency for these specialised bar code and label printers.
“I am excited about this opportunity and keen to grow Printacom's footprint in this market segment,” says Ballardin. “Fortunately, I am acquainted with Printronix, having represented the brand for five years earlier in my career.”
Prior to entering the printer industry, Ballardin spent six years on the professional cycling circuit, culminating in his participation at the World Championships, in Austria, in 1992.
