Baseline Distribution & Logistics (BDL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Baseline Holdings Group, recently acquired the exclusive southern African distribution rights to Konftel, the world`s second leading manufacturer/supplier of conference phones.
Konftel, founded in 1988, developed the world`s first conference phone and is the number two supplier of conference phones globally. It is the market leader in the Nordic countries and has over 40 sales/service partners worldwide.
Strategically aligned partnerships with industry leaders such as Avaya, Siemens, Ericsson and Alcatel places Konftel in the forefront of conference technology.
"We are extremely excited to have procured a deal with Konftel, whereby BDL will offer complete sales, service and support to the southern African marketplace," said Baseline Holdings CEO Gordon Faint.
"BDL presented its business plan and `Right Partner` program to them and after taking note of our substantial year on year successes with Avaya IP office in the medium enterprise arena, it didn`t take them long to realise that Baseline was the right partner. This deal is somewhat of a coup for the Baseline Group, as we beat out a number of the `traditional` players in the telephony/distribution marketplace, to acquire the rights to Konftel," added Faint.
Konftel offers superior sound technology, flexibility, wireless capacity, DECT and IP connectivity enabling more applications and accessories than its competitors. Konftel provides the prospective customer with intuitive call initiation with no network issues, great ergonomics and styling, all founded on rock solid reliability.
"We are in the process of identifying and re-establishing a reseller channel, as well as a retail business arm for Konftel. The Konftel route to market was somewhat disrupted due to the collapse of the previously appointed SA distributor. But it hasn`t taken us long to get the channel up and going again. We are pleased to announce that Konftel is open for business again in SA and flourishing under the Baseline banner," said Faint.
