BBC inks workflow deal
GlobeCast's solution for BBC Worldwide includes ingest and workflow set-up, secure storage, subtitling, graphics, encoding, encryption and delivery of the Polish language versions of BBC Knowledge in HD, BBC Entertainment, BBC Lifestyle and CBeebies via the Eutelsat Hot Bird (13 degrees East).
GlobeCast has been providing satellite delivery of the four channels to Central and Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia for the past three years.
According to Media Mughals, Globecast has also created and provides BBC with the “digital ecosystem”.
The digital ecosystem includes connectivity and integration with partners who perform services vital to BBC Worldwide. International re-versioning services provided by TVT form part of the ecosystem for BBC Worldwide, streamlining expansion into new regions by adding additional languages to the existing on-line content store at GlobeCast.
