US firms lack business continuity plan
Many businesses are not fully prepared to maintain their business operations in the event of an emergency, according to an annual AT&T study on business continuity and disaster recovery preparedness for US businesses in the private sector, states Earthtimes.
According to the report, one in five businesses does not have a business continuity plan developed.
Additionally, for the third year in a row, the national survey finds that nearly 30% of US businesses do not consider business continuity planning a priority.
