BenQ release the FP991 monitor

Johannesburg, 24 Sep 2003

Digital lifestyle products specialist, BenQ, has launched the FP991 LCD monitor aimed at corporate and small business users.

Aimed at meeting the needs of design professionals and engineers, the FP991 is bundled with a software CD that, when combined with the monitor`s rotating hinge function, allows users to switch display modes from portrait to landscape at the touch of a key.

"The rotating functionality is proving particularly useful for professionals who need to view images, spreadsheets or applications from both a horizontal and vertical perspective," says Manoj Tripathi, Country manager, BenQ South Africa.

The FP991 is suitable for displaying everything from the latest stock quotes to complex graphics in a desktop environment and can also be used to broadcast images across an office environment. A series of models can also have a striking effect when placed side-by-side in a video wall.

Featuring a 19-inch screen, the FP991 offers the user high brightness and contrast levels, and a slender 18mm border. The FP991 also supports multiple resolutions up to 1280x1024 with 300 nits of high brightness and a high contrast ratio of 700:1.

The LCD monitor has 25ms signal response time and an ultra-wide viewing angle. It displays crisp and vivid images and is suitable for numerous applications including streaming full screen video.
