Bidvest has acquired Oc'e Printing Systems SA from Dutch group Oc'e Technologies for an undisclosed sum.

Minolco MD Alan Griffith says that as a result of the acquisition, Minolco`s Oc'e division, a document systems and wide-format printing specialist, and Oc'e Printing Systems SA, a high volume supplier, have merged to form Oc'e SA.

"With immediate effect, Oc'e SA will be the sole southern African distributor for all Oc'e high- and mid-volume digital document systems and wide-format printing systems," he says.

Keith Dix-Peek, Oc'e SA`s MD, says the merger is in line with international corporate restructuring in response to evolving market demands.

"The new business divisions reflect the changes evident in today`s workplace. Oc'e is now placing a clear focus on customised turnkey solutions, with additional emphasis on professional services," he says.

The new company will offer a full spectrum of digital printing solutions.
