IT security and ISDN solution distributor Biodata IT is launching Cobion`s newly designed e-mail content solution OrangeBox Mail 2.0 with integrated spam filter. Developed by Cobion, this OrangeBox Mail solution, for instance, screens e-mails based on source, content and destination. It incorporates data protection, e-mail encryption and promotes productivity.

"Many companies rely solely on the implementation of a firewall and/or an anti-virus program as their chief means of protection against both internal and external threats," says Christian Runte, director at Biodata IT.

"This is usually not enough because of the level of sophistication of viruses, the growing threat from within organisations and the severe consequences resulting from a loss of sensitive data. A solution that focuses on internal e-communication, including the Internet, helps to regulate resources and prevent abuse, helps managers handle HR issues and, effectively implemented with consideration of business requirements, represents a definite cost saver to the business," says Runte.

OrangeBox Mail is built on content technology for image and text analysis. The solution combines integrated program elements such as a spam database, blackhole lists of potential spam senders, as well as various text categories for the purposes of blocking spam mails.

Key features:

* Real-time analysis of all e-mails and attachments;

* Parsing of content (important documents);

* Multi-stage spam identification procedure;

* Easy integration into any e-mail server architecture;

* Automatic unpacking and analysis of files;

* Blocking of pre-specified file types; and

* Easy customisation to fit your business rules.
