According to FOX Business, Biosign Technologies today has signed a collaboration agreement with IBM.

Under the agreement, Biosign and IBM have agreed to accelerate an existing collaboration in commercialisng advanced health monitoring services powered by Biosign's UFIT system.

The system leverages IBM's service oriented architecture to allow customers to meet the strong demand for high-performance care in the patient-centric, personal health care and clinical research markets.

Wyndgate, Cerner partner

Wyndgate Technologies, a division of Global Med Technologies has formed a strategic marketing alliance with Cerner Corporation, a provider of information technology (HIT) solutions, says ITNews.

Cerner will market Wyndgate's comprehensive blood management software modules in conjunction with Cerner's universally known Millennium Suite laboratory information system (LIS). Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

"We are pleased that Cerner Corporation has selected Wyndgate blood management systems to complement its Millennium Suite," said Thomas Marcinek, president and COO of Global Med Technologies.

Medsphere hires Danahy

John Danahy has joined Medsphere Systems, a provider of open source electronic health record (EHR) systems and services, as VP of sales, according to Businesswire.

With more than fifteen years of exceptional healthcare IT sales performance to his credit, Danahy is charged with aggressively expanding Medsphere's national sales organisation and leveraging the success of current partners.

Danahy comes to Medsphere from Fortune 18 healthcare services company McKesson Corporation, where he was VP of customer operations for new business in the western region.
