Quest Software, a leading provider of application, database and Windows management solutions, announced that five of its software solutions for management of the Windows platform have been honoured with multiple industry awards. The announcements were made at Microsoft Tech-Ed 2005.
Quest Collaboration Services for Exchange won the Best of Tech-Ed 2005 Award in the Productivity and Collaboration product category. Winners were selected from a field that included more than 260 entries in 11 categories, and were judged by technical editors from Windows IT Pro and SQL Server Magazine.
"Quest Collaboration Services for Exchange enables disparate Exchange organisations to share Global Address Lists (GAL) and free/busy information without trusts or complicated federation solutions," said Mike Otey, senior technical editor for Windows IT Pro and SQL Server Magazine. "It provides a quick and effective method for enabling information workers to communicate with business partners."
Quest Archive Manager for Exchange took top honours in the category of Exchange Archiving for MSD2D.com`s fourth annual "People`s Choice" awards, as voted on by members of the IT community. Archive Manager provides a cost-effective, consolidated archive of historical Exchange data while improving security, discovery and management.
In addition, three Quest products won Target Awards, as voted on by readers of W2Knews. Quest ActiveRoles Direct received the most votes in the Active Directory Management category. Quest ActiveRoles Server won in the Domain Management category and Quest ERDisk in the Emergency (Disk) Management category.
