Managed Objects, the business service management company, announced two integration adapters for its Business Service Management (BSM) solution using Peregrine Systems Inc`s (OTC: PRGN) industry-leading IT asset and service management solutions called AssetCenter and ServiceCenter.
Combined with Managed Objects` BSM solution, the adapters enhance BSM implementation initiatives, offering companies the ability to more effectively manage their end-to-end IT service management environment through enhanced operational controls and extended virtual configuration management database (vCMDB) capabilities.
Managed Objects` BSM solution integrates AssetCenter data with a variety of other federated sources of discovery, configuration and IT management information, allowing organisations to develop a comprehensive near real-time window into all the elements within an IT enterprise.
Managed Objects calls this window a virtual Configuration Management Database -- or vCMDB. A vCMDB lets organisations view not only critical IT element properties but also the key relationships among IT components supporting more effective change and configuration management practices.
