Bluetooth car kit sales booming

Sales of hands-free Bluetooth car kits have surged in recent months, says auto accessories distributor Smart Automotive Components (Smac).

"People are becoming more and more aware of Bluetooth, and the products are more readily available than they used to be," explains Smac marketing manager Leejay Carrozzo.

People are becoming more conscious about the safety benefits of hands-free car kits, he adds.

"But it`s not just about driving safety when it comes to safe, hands-free driving - motorists are worried about the continuing threat of smash and grab attacks."

Having a Bluetooth car kit reduces the risk of smash and grabs because the phone does not have to be exposed, he explains.
