Solutions for Business Intelligence (SBi), a subsidiary of ERP.com and an authorised solutions partner of TOWER Software, today announced that it has entered into a business partnership with Employee Benefit Trust (EBT), part of BoE Bank, for the exploitation of the TRIM Context product within their environment.
EBT is a leading supplier of trust and financial management services to several of SA's leading pension fund trusts run by Barlows, Pick n' Pay, SABC and Saccawu.
"We had been looking for a solution that would enable us to increase our business process turnaround time without necessitating a substantial increase in human resources," commented Mervyn Schoeman, the head of EBT. "Many industry specialists believed a solution could not be achieved in such a trust environment due the complexity of operations involved; however, this proved not to be the case.

"With the green light given by Fran Adriaanzen, Executive Director of Old Mutual Trust, together with Nico Botha, Head of Fiduciary services for BoE Private Clients as the project champion, we believe we will be able to increase productivity and create the ability to cross-sell and seamlessly collaborate across the Nedcor, Old Mutual and BoE client base."
"The solution we implemented included TRIM Context from Tower Software and was derived from the joint design efforts of EBT and SBi in creating an integrated solution that included powerful records and document management functionality including the facilities that were necessary to achieve compliance with the various industry standards such as FICA, FAIS and South Africa's ECT Act," concluded Schoeman.
"We included TRIM Context in the solution for EBT based on its success in financial industries worldwide, as well as its ability to mould to dissimilar business environments," added Cobus van Niekerk, MD of SBi.
