Local fibre optic cable distributor, Fibreplus, has released a free software add-in for Microsoft`s drawing tool - Visio Professional Edition - to provide R&M cabling component product shapes for inclusion in proposals, implementation plans, building plans and other documents.
"R&M`s add-on complements the other, standard shapes in the Visio library," says Dave Fawcett, CEO of Fibreplus. "It gives network designers, installers, planners and consultants working with communications networks the ability to `drag and drop` R&M product shapes into a drawing.
"It is particularly useful for the generation of exact diagrams of distribution cabinets. The programme also includes a database that gives users detailed information about every product in the R&M product range," says Fawcett.
The R&M add-in is free of charge and will be continuously upgraded.
