SecureData and ERP.com company and sub-Saharan distributors of BorderWare Technologies Inc. today announced the launch of BorderWare's new Security Server series, a high performance 1U rack mount platform for its security products. Designed and manufactured in partnership with BSDi, the leader in Internet infrastructure-grade solutions, the Security Server series delivers performance, reliability and scalability and provides the ideal platform for the industry leading BorderWare Firewall Server, Mail Gateway and Document Gateway security products.
The Security Server is manufactured with selected components according to BorderWare products requirements, and is available initially in two configurations. The R-1000 is designed for small to medium traffic environments, and features an Intel Celeron 600 Mhz processor, 128 MB RAM, 20 GB hard disk and two Intel high speed Ethernet interfaces. The R-2000 for more demanding environments comes with an Intel Pentium III 700 Mhz processor, 256 MB RAM, 2 20GB hard disks and three Intel high speed Ethernet interfaces.
The R-3000, scheduled to be available later in the year, will feature additional SCSI and RAID support for the most demanding network traffic environments.
All Security Servers will be delivered with pre-installed software to provide true "plug and play" functionality. From unpacking the system to making the first connection to the internet takes a only a few minutes.
EAL4 Certified Firewall Appliance
BorderWare products are renowned for delivering the very highest security with the minimum configuration and maintenance requirements. The Firewall Server was the first to gain Common Criteria EAL4 certification and remains unique in the scope of covered functions and features. The Security Server installed with the Firewall Server delivers an EAL4 Certified Firewall appliance.
