International investment and merchant banking group, Brait, has signed an on-site outsourcing contract for a second consecutive term with networking solutions provider, Artec Computer Systems.
Brait first initiated an IT support agreement with Artec in early 2000. Two years later, Brait has reiterated its confidence in Artec`s outsourcing capabilities by signing on for a second season.
Brait SA is an international investment and merchant banking group listed on the Luxembourg, London and Johannesburg stock exchanges, with shareholders` funds of R1.2 billion. Brait provides a wide range of investment, corporate advisory, corporate debt and treasury services to a substantial client base that includes listed and unlisted companies, financial and government institutions and high net worth individuals.
In order to benefit its customers while maintaining the pace set by international financial relations, Brait relies on Artec to keep its business continuity within a manageable budget.
"With a team on site at all times, and the added advantage of total support by Artec`s back-up staff complement, we experience the peace of mind that our system is completely managed without the extensive budget overheads of a full internal IT department," commented Mark Beekhuizen, IT Manager at Brait.
The International Financial House`s critical business systems necessitate round-the-clock management and maintenance. Artec, together with Brait`s internal IT department, is entrusted to ensure the uptime of Brait`s 250 users and maintain its 13 servers. Being a Microsoft Certified Partner also allows Artec to maintain the Windows platform run on these workstations effectively and with the foresight of upcoming technological advancements.
Brait is also offered the additional services and strengths of Artec`s extensive relationships within the IT arena, including the purchasing of hardware and software, and maintaining of systems according to Microsoft`s new MLMP, or management Licensing Program.
"Artec functions within Brait as a fully integrated department, accepting full responsibility for Brait`s technological needs and services. We offer them a complete service in managing and maintaining their networks and keeping them abreast of new technological developments," commented Andrew Tucker, Founder and CEO of Artec Computer Systems.
