BT opens S'pore tech centre

CBR.

Acting British high commissioner to Singapore Amanda Brooks inaugurated the telecom provider's new facility.

The new facility aims to enable business customers to interact directly with technologies and services including: wide area optimisation; next-generation contact centres; unified communications; IP and other ICT innovations, says the company.

Telecom Paper reports that the new facility is part of BT's ongoing investment programme in the region, aimed at delivering communication services that allow multinational companies to succeed in their business opportunities across Asia, and enable local corporations to operate in other parts of the world.

According to Computer Weekly, BT set up its bid response centre in Singapore to boost its chances of landing large regional managed services deals.
