Bytes Technology Group has again extended its offer to buy CS Holdings.
The offer was originally meant to close on 29 October, but that was extended to 19 November as the conditions precedent had not yet been fulfilled.
Although the Competition Commission has reacted favourably to the deal, the Competition Tribunal has yet to review the commission`s recommendation that the deal be permitted to go ahead without conditions.
The groups have issued a notice saying it will now be necessary to extend the offer again.
"Only once the response of the Competition Tribunal is obtained will BTG be in a position to determine the last date to trade and the closing date," the notice says.
CSH, which was technically insolvent at the end of its latest financial year, has said the deal is essential to its survival, as it needs the backing of a white knight to continue to draw support from its bankers.
