According to Mike Broderick, Director of BTS: "The new NEO Series 8000 enterprise library now supports both LTO-2 and SDLT600 tape drives and media. What this does is allow us to offer business a solution which has more storage capacity per square metre than any other large data centre-class library on the market."
Some of the key technical features of the product include: up to 255TB capacity; SDLT or LTO-2 drives; between 85 - 500 slots and for the growing business expansion on demand; as well as up to 12 tape drives; up to 3.1TB/hr transfer rates; and SCSI, Fibre Channel and Gigabit Ethernet.
With the promise of zero-downtime and increased levels of performance, the NEO 8000 compared to its competitors rates as one of the least expensive price-per-slot libraries available on the market.
