Leading ICT solutions provider, Business Connexion, announced that it has formalised a partnership with Computer Associates (CA). The partnership will see Business Connexion improving service offerings to clients and taking new advanced solutions to the market.
According to Hannes Lategan, business manager: enterprise service management at Business Connexion, the solutions integrator has become a CA Premier Enterprise Solutions Partner. The group will use CA`s products to craft solutions aimed at realising IT benefits for its clients` businesses.
"We have a well-established relationship with CA and already use their products to provide customised solutions for clients through our service management centre (SMC)," says Lategan.
"Through the partnership, we will be able to leverage solutions to ensure our clients best manage their technology from a business perspective, while ensuring an always-available and optimised infrastructure."
Lategan adds: "As a result of the partnership Business Connexion will further empower its clients with the ability to solve IT infrastructure challenges in a way that enables business continuity. This way Business Connexion and its clients maintain optimum-performance supporting business objectives."
Lategan expands: "The solution Business Connexion offers its clients with CA`s approach is one where all focus is on enabling IT to dynamically cater for the demand of business. All activity on assets (people, processes and technology) with policies and the way these are optimised is kept in a centralised management database. This common best practice approach is used in the way operations, storage, security and lifecycle management are executed at a foundation level. These are then further enhanced through service management incorporating service delivery and service support, all providing intelligence to serve the business objective."
Dion Gerrans, Business Connexion account director at CA, says: "Only solution providers with the correct critical mass and ability to commit to training on CA products become premier enterprise solutions partners with the software company."
"Business Connexion has extensive in-house CA skills," notes Gerrans. "Its relationships with leading networks, systems, servers, desktops, databases, applications, storage and security vendors make this a strategic and beneficial partnership for both companies. CA stands to increase product sales, while Business Connexion can look forward to delivering enhanced returns on clients` IT investments.
According to Gerrans, CA has adopted a "Sell Through" and "Sell With" model with strategic partners who can distribute and implement these products and solutions. He says this model is working well for CA, its premier enterprise solutions partners and their clients.
