Business Connexion has extended its ability to provide versatile networking solutions by securing a partnership with technology vendor OPTEQ and achieving Cisco Systems VPN Security Specialisation certification.
According to Brian Tarr, managing executive at Business Connexion`s Networks Competency, these developments strengthen the company`s ability to provide cost effective, secure and highly reliable network solutions.
The OPTEQ product range is suitable for small, medium and large enterprises, and offers integrated functionality at competitive pricing. "Living on a continent with unique bandwidth challenges, it has become extremely important for our clients to maximise available bandwidth without investing in expensive and complex technology," says Tarr.
The OPTEQ product range offers bandwidth management, compression, caching, fire walling, anti-spam, content filtering, virus detection and a network sniffer, all of which are managed through a single interface.
"The OPTEQ technology will complement our existing solution offering by creating a single cost-effective platform capable of scaling from SME to large corporate implementations," adds Tarr.
By meeting the Cisco Systems VPN Security Specialisation status criteria (including having a fully equipped laboratory environment, trained staff and a number of client reference sites), Business Connexion is now certified to support clients requiring secure corporate VPN networks.
