Businesses share BI
Industry Intelligence, an independent provider of business intelligence (BI), unveiled a service that allows companies to share intelligence across their organisations and make critical business decisions with higher confidence, reports FOXBusiness.
Industry Intelligence, partnering with sister company Forestweb, designed the new informPlatform service as a single, centralised platform to meet the needs of every information user in every position in a company.
Using customised, real-time information that affects their industry and the economy, executives get the snapshot they need, when they need it.
Sircon serves up SaaS BI
According to Pentaho, the commercial open source alternative for BI, Sircon, a provider of licensing and compliance applications for the insurance industry, is using Pentaho's Reporting Enterprise Edition as part of its suite of software-as-a-service (SaaS)-based applications, reports msnbc.
Pentaho's multi-tenant architecture allows them to support thousands of users across different organisations with a single instance of Pentaho, integrated with complementary technology from Oracle and Sun.
The deployment provides Sircon with rich functionality and cost-effective flexibility.
WhatsUp Gold gets update
Ipswitch's network management division released an enhancement to the WhatsUp Gold family, reports Newswire Today.
The inclusion of mobile access makes WhatsUp Gold the first solution to provide visibility into and the monitoring of IT networks in real-time from mobile phones or personal digital assistants.
“We believe pragmatic solutions, designed to solve a problem as opposed to creating a market, are the key. We spoke to the market and as of today, WhatsUp Gold v12.4 is the first and only network management solution enabling proactive diagnosis and resolution of network issues over a mobile device's Internet connection without the need for platform or other changes,” announced Ennio Carboni, VP of network management for Ipswitch.
