Bytes Communication Systems has ended its half-year on yet another high, providing significant value to business partners, customers and listed parent company Bytes Technology Group.
As the only Premium Accredited Partner of Alcatel-Lucent in South Africa, the company has managed to clinch and retain a majority share of the solutions provider call centre business in South and southern Africa, and now boasts voice and data contracts with a large number of customers, servicing 78 call centres.
"The market has, through the demand created by convergence, grown significantly. This growth has fuelled the expansion of our own business and has enabled us to enjoy a time of prosperity in the voice and data market," says Managing Director of Bytes Communication Systems, George Isaacson.
"It is not just about dropping kit at a customers` door step, it is about being able to provide the after-sales support and services that sets one apart from its competitors."
The company currently services South Africa`s largest municipality, Tshwane, with one of the country`s largest converged voice and data networks. It has also signed a number of multimillion-rand contracts over the last year, with some of the top Blue Chip companies in the country, including: City Lodge, Incredible Connection, DHL and more.
That said, Bytes Communication Systems has also invested significantly in training its people over the last year, not only on new and upcoming Alcatel-Lucent technologies in and around the unified communications and data space, but the technology from a number of new partners it will be engaging with in the near future as well. The company has also managed to significantly grow its reseller channel both locally and throughout Africa, setting itself apart from many of its competitors.
"People are vital to our business strategy, which is why we invest so much in training. Providing excellent levels of support and service are what sets us apart, and it is a rare occasion when we lose a customer due to dissatisfaction with our levels of service," states Isaacson. "We are proud that so many of our customers are so comfortable to divulge that they are our customers."
The company has also just been awarded a unified communications solutions partner award from the business and research consulting firm Frost and Sullivan. Bytes will soon be making some significant partner announcements, which will see its business expand to provide an even bigger portfolio of services in the voice and data space.
