Bytes Technology Networks has launched a customisable e-learning solution into the South African market, offering local corporates access to job-specific training courses.
[VIDEO]The company says the new product, TutorPro, has been well received in the UK, and currently holds a market share of 75% in the UK legal industry and a growing share in other sectors. The offering has been tailored to suit the needs of the South African market, taking into account local skills development legislation and bandwidth limitations.
George Eybers, Bytes Technology business unit manager of learning solutions and services, says: "Part of the solution and proposition to market has been to identify a methodology that will allow an organisation to purchase certain parts and scale the solution, or to outsource the whole training function depending on their respective needs.
[VIDEO]"The TutorPro methodology consists of a pre-assessment (training needs analysis) that will then compare the current skills in the organisation to the required skills and generate a gap analysis. A unique learner portfolio is then created that will document and outline the blueprint for the required training that the individual needs to attend as well as make the training available to them."
Eybers says key differentiators of the TutorPro offering include its ease of use, cost-effectiveness and the fact that it offers subscribers access to over 700 certified or accredited courses. "This enables users to select their courses from a wide range of subject matter and tailor their learning to suit their needs," he says. TutorPro also monitors learners` progress and marks during courses, authors pre-course and post-course exercises and can deliver training on any IT application in use.
[VIDEO]"Bytes Learning Solutions is in the business of applying technology to reduce training costs, especially administration and provide comprehensive training for less or within the same budget, while at the same time having a ROI of less than one year," says Eybers. "All the systems allow the organisations to integrate it with their payroll and other financial systems and automate the NQF reporting process and employment equity reporting. TutorPro perfectly complements any existing training that is taking place and creates a learning culture, as opposed to a once-off training event perception within the company."
