Bytes People Solutions (BPS), a provider of talent management services and a division of the Bytes Technology Group, recently received the Oracle University award for Best Oracle Approved Education Centre (OAEC) recognising its excellence as a regional provider of Oracle-approved training courses.
According to Petr Zemanek, Delivery Manager - Africa at Oracle University, BPS is the best Oracle University (OU) partner on the African continent both in terms of business revenue provided and in terms of quality measured by customer feedback.
In the Oracle financial year 2013, BPS delivered 126 OU events attended by 679 delegates with overall quality score above 98%. Customers were very happy with high professional technical and teaching skills of BPS instructors, hardware and software classroom environments and all facilities/catering services provided.
Unique remote teaching environment (real-time classroom) enabled sharing of instructors across cities in South Africa using high-speed Internet network while preserving interaction between instructors and delegates. BPS is constantly showing deep commitment to OU business and high potential of business growth both on the South African market and also into Africa.
"This prestigious award recognises Bytes People Solutions as a training partner that offers top-quality leaning in a modern, well-equipped learning environment, and has a long-term track record of providing training in a wide variety of Oracle courses, according to the location and needs of our client base," says Pieter Nel, business unit executive of the ICT Academy at BPS.
Johan Grobler, product manager for Oracle at BPS, also won the 2013 award for Best Sun Instructor for the third consecutive year. "This award is an acknowledgement of the fact that Johan is at the top of his game as an instructor, and is unsurpassed when it comes to Sun technology," says Nel. "It's a great honour for him, and for the company as a whole. Instructors win in their categories based on the feedback received from clients, a process that is totally objective and carefully reviewed by Oracle. His overall score was 99%."
Grobler, who has been with BPS for more than 15 years, has a 25-year career in training in the IT sector, and is passionate about education. "The Oracle team at Bytes People Solutions is dedicated to providing the highest quality education for clients, and it is gratifying to be recognised for that," he says. "We are always prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that our clients are satisfied with the way our wide variety of Oracle courses are delivered."
