Bytes People Solutions was named the Best Training Provider at the recent Achiever Awards, hosted by Achiever magazine and sponsored by BHP Billiton. The event attracted more than 350 industry players, and entrants were put though a rigorous screening process by a panel of independent judges.
"The prestigious Achiever Awards single out business and organisations that demonstrate their commitment to enhancing employees' skills and talents by implementing development and training programmes that are relevant to their careers, and that are also innovative and effective," says Dr Madelise Grobler, MD of Bytes People Solutions. "We are delighted to have won such an important award. As a people and business process outsourcing company, we are committed to finding ways to close the skills gap in South Africa."
The criteria for the award included industry relevance, innovation, sustainability, exceptional creativity and socioeconomic impact.
Grobler says Bytes People Solutions' evolving business model - from training provider to business process outsourcing specialist - is what's giving the company an edge in the market. The model comprises talent management, an ICT academy, a career campus, and an overarching business process outsourcing component.
"These facets of our organisation combine to enable true business process transformation," says Grobler. "We believe that by cultivating the true potential of a workforce, regarding people's careers as a work in progress, and changing their lives through skills development, we can help our customers to achieve extraordinary business success. An award of this nature serves to highlight just how important that level of development and training is in today's economy."
