Bytes People Solutions entered into an agreement with the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), as an Authorised Education Provider for courses in South Africa.
APICS is the leader and premier source of the body of knowledge in operations management, including production, inventory, supply chain, materials management, purchasing, and logistics.
Companies and individuals, in over 31 countries, rely on APICS for its superior training, internationally recognised certifications and worldwide network of accomplished industry professionals.
Bytes People Solutions provide instructor-led APICS courses using only APICS certified instructors. The APICS courses offered by Bytes People Solutions are FMOM - Fundamentals of Materials and Operations Management, CPIM - Certification in Production and Inventory Management, and CSCP - Certified Supply Chain Professional.
APICS CPIM module - basics of supply chain management - is now a standalone course.
SAPICS, with its AEPs emulates after its European counterparts and promote the APICS Basics of Supply Chain Management (BSCM) as a "standalone" course.
From January 2008 it is compulsory for all CPIM candidates to successfully complete the BSCM module by passing the APICS BSCM exam before moving on to the other modules:
* Master Planning of Resources (MPR)
* Detailed Scheduling and Planning (DSP)
* Execution and Control of Operations (ECO)
* Strategic Management of Resources (SMR)
All successful candidates are issued with a certificate from APICS when successfully passing the BSCM exam.
SAPICS named winner of the Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2007, where Bytes People Solutions students received Top Honours:
Zandile Fuyane of SAB Miller, CPIM Top Scorer and Student of the Year
Selepe Phetla of Nestle, CSCP Top Scorer runner-up
Rosaline Shaw of Bytes System Integration, Student of the Year runner-up
"90% of Bytes People Solutions students passed the APICS CPIM examination.
