Cape-based Community Technologies (C-Tech) has reported a year-end headline loss of 1.33c per share, a substantial improvement on the previous 73.8c loss per share.
C-Tech is the holding company for several businesses in the computer and entertainment trading sectors of the IT industry.
The company arose out of the liquidation of Mashold Consolidated Investment Holdings, which was subsequently discharged from liquidation after entering into a scheme of arrangement with creditors.
Operations include Community Technologies, EBS, Wonderland Amusement Centres and The Famous Butchers Grill. The results of several operations were included from March 2000.
Turnover for the year to 31 December amounted to R14.21 million, compared with nil the previous year.
Operating income of R148 266 compares with a previous loss of R761 237. Retained income for the year amounted to R153 213, compared with a previous negative figure of R5.52 million.
The company`s tangible net asset value increased to 62.2c per share at the end of the period, from a negative 1.06 per share a year earlier.
