Computer Associates International, Inc (CA) has announced "day one" support for IBM`s z/OS and z/OS.e release 1.5 across its Unicenter, eTrust, BrightStor, Advantage and AllFusion brands. This continues CA`s record of "day one" support for every release of the z/OS operating system.
Through close cooperation with IBM during its z/OS Early Test Program, CA has enhanced its portfolio of products to support new and enhanced features of z/OS 1.5 to meet customers` evolving technology management requirements. CA compatibility charts for the new releases are available at http://ca.com/products/zos/ for z/OS 1.5 and at http://ca.com/products/zos_e/ for z/OS.e 1.5.
"CA is enabling customers to immediately take full advantage of the new features and functionality offered by z/OS 1.5, ensuring both a seamless transition to the new operating system and optimised management of their mainframe resources," said David Hodgson, senior vice-president of mainframe systems product development at CA.
