Computer Associates International, Inc (CA) has announced that ARCserve 2000, CA`s comprehensive storage management solution for the eBusiness enterprise, has earned the Certified for Windows 2000 logo for Windows 2000 Server and Advanced Server.
ARCserve 2000 is the only enterprise storage management solution that uses the Windows 2000 Active Directory in accordance with certification standards, while also leveraging Active Directory contents to enable the centralised management of backup servers.
The award of the Certified for Windows 2000 logo underscores CA`s commitment to delivering products for effectively managing and protecting Windows 2000 environments. Featuring full integration with Windows 2000 kernel nodes, the certified ARCserve 2000 product ensures the reliability and extensibility of the Windows 2000 platform.
In recognising the Windows 2000 Active Directory, ARCserve 2000 assures customers that data stored on cataloged IT assets - including the Active Directory itself - is automatically identified and fully protected in the event of a disaster.

Unlike other vendors, CA includes full-featured backup server management capabilities as part of the base ARCserve 2000 installation at no additional cost.
