CA delivers innovative business continuity solution

Computer Associates (CA) has released a new business continuity offering designed to minimise the risk of business interruptions and protect the integrity of operations even under the most challenging conditions.

Dubbed Crisis Life Cycle Management, it is said to leverage CA`s technologies and services to address all areas of business continuity best practices - from needs assessment and planning, to contingency command-and-control capabilities.

Willie Bezuidenhout, Business Technologist at CA Africa, says it also incorporates new technology designed to provide a centralised, common view of silos of operational information, enabling companies to proactively identify exposures and organisational threats and to create appropriate recovery plans.

"Crisis Life Cycle Management also leverages the expertise and experience of CA Services, which has assisted customers in safeguarding their operations and successfully recovering from a wide range of contingencies, including the events of 11 September 2001," he says.

In addition to leveraging CA`s Unicenter, eTrust and BrightStor technologies - which individually focus on infrastructure management, enterprise security, and data storage/recovery capabilities - Crisis Life Cycle Management incorporates a management framework which utilises the integration and analysis capabilities of CA`s intelligent infrastructure, and the intelligent business process automation capabilities of CA`s CleverPath Aion Business Rules Expert.

These technologies enable Crisis Life Cycle Management to be adapted quickly to the specific continuity and recovery needs of any given contingency.
