CA's Instant Recovery On Demand, a business continuity and disaster recovery service, is helping SMEs ensure continuous availability of applications and data, even in the event of a critical systems failure or disaster and without additional IT infrastructure costs, TMC Net reports.

Kerio Technologies and Sonian have formed an alliance to provide hosted e-mail archiving and electronic discovery services for Kerio MailServer, a cross-platform messaging and collaboration solution, according to CNN.

With this alliance, Kerio's global customers will benefit from an archiving option that addresses a number of operational challenges, including escalating storage capacity on e-mail servers, backup and business continuity.

Sonian Archive is a scalable, secure and cost-effective hosted e-mail archiving service built on top of the Amazon Web Services Cloud.

MaxSP, a provider of data assurance solutions to the IT support industry, has released an additional product, workstation backup, expanding its enterprise-level system functionality to meet the data backup demands of SMEs, reports MarketWatch.

Ideal for companies with less than 200 employees, MaxSP now delivers the same automated image-level backup for individual workstations as that provided for servers.

The MaxSP backup and recovery solution is rooted in the business continuity appliance, which is a plug-and-play, optimised and automated full-image/incremental onsite backup system linked with the MaxSP data centre for disaster recovery services.
