CA introduces management solution
CA has released a recovery management solution that helps customers ensure protection, recoverability and uninterrupted access to critical business information by combining continuous data protection, business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities into one package, reports ebizQ.
The BrightStor ARCserve Backup/WANSyncHA Bundle integrates the XOsoft WANSync high availability and XOsoft Assured Recovery disaster recovery testing solutions recently acquired by CA with CA's BrightStor ARCserve Backup.
It enables a full range of recovery management best practices - including backup to all forms of storage media, replication of data to remote servers, and testing of the recoverability of key business applications and data.
Sun unveils latest blade server
Hoping to make inroads in the high-growth blade segment of the server market, Sun has released a new blade along with a US subscription service offering customers several automatic refreshes of the server hardware.
The Sun Blade X8420 is powered by four-socket dual-core 2.8GHz Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) Opteron 8000 chips. It includes hot-pluggable I/O adapters that can be accessed from outside the box.
The blade comes with PCIe ExpressModules supporting Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel and InfiniBand technologies so users can mix applications requiring different I/O configurations within the same blade chassis.
ADP expands operations in India
ADP plans to launch operations in Pune, which will be up and running by February, reports CRN.
The Pune facility will expand ADP India's operational capacity and will also serve as a business continuity and disaster recovery centre for ADP India's Hyderabad operations.
"In addition to this new facility in India, we have recently announced two new US facilities and will continue to evaluate expansion opportunities aligned with the company's domestic and international growth," says Gary Butler, ADP's president and CEO.
