Computer Associates International, Inc (NYSE: CA) has announced that CA was the worldwide market leader based on new licence revenue in IT asset management in 2004 with a 27% share, according to a Gartner report entitled "Market Share: Enterprise Management, Worldwide, 2004".
The report marks the third consecutive year that CA has been ranked as the overall market leader in IT asset management. It also showed that CA is the leading independent software vendor in the worldwide enterprise management software market with a 14.5% market share. The total market grew 11% in 2004 to $6.2 billion, according to Gartner.
