Computer Associates International, Inc (CA) today announced the general availability of Version 9 of BrightStor ARCserve Backup for NetWare, its industry-leading data protection solution for users of Novell`s popular operating system. The new version delivers unmatched ease-of-use, reliability and performance, along with the simplified licensing and aggressive pricing today`s corporate buyers demand.
BrightStor ARCserve Backup for NetWare provides outstanding support for NetWare 6 environments, including Open File Agent technology that delivers "Copy on Write" functionality. This enables critical data to be continually protected - even while applications are in use.
BrightStor ARCserve Backup 9 Version 9 has been extensively beta tested worldwide by hundreds of organisations and has received Novell`s "YES, Tested and Approved" certification for NetWare 6.

Starting at a base price of $695, BrightStor ARCserve Backup 9 allows customers to build their own fully customised data protection system for virtually any distributed environment, regardless of platform. BrightStor ARCserve Backup for NetWare allows data from Novell NetWare, Microsoft Windows, Linux and Unix servers to be backed up to a Novell NetWare server.
