Calling all copier, fax and printer companies

CompTIA, the Computing Technology Industry Association, is hosting a meeting on Monday, 23 October 2000 of a sub-group of the Hardware and Computer Architecture domain of the IT Standards Generating Body. The sub-group is specifically geared to generating qualification standards (as part of the National Qualifications Framework) for technical support staff in the copier, fax and printer industry.

"Several companies have already indicated an interest to become involved in the standards generating process," says CompTIA international sales and marketing director Adrian Schofield.

These include CSX, MGX, Nashua Limited, Nashua Pretoria, Xerox SA, Konica, Minolco, Sharp Electronics, Canon SA, Canoa Importers, Canco, Gestetner and Olivetti.
